With the return of seniors QB Colt McCoy and WR Jordan Shipley, as well as DE/LB Sergio Kindle, the Longhorns made an incredible undefeated run to the national championship game at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA. Unfortuantely, an injury to McCoy early in that final game probably cost the ‘Horns their fifth national championship, but fans saw the future of Longhorn football in the hands of true freshman QB Garrett Gilbert. And the future is bright.
