After taking another big hit to his throwing shoulder in the loss to Texas last weekend, it sounds like injured oklahoma sooners quarterback – and last year’s Heisman Trophy winner – Sam Bradford could be done for the year.
Bradford is expected to consult some additional medical sources to evaluate his options, but sources believe he will elect to undergo surgery to repair the sprained AC joint in his right shoulder. The surgery, if he pursues it, will help him recover and then prepare for April’s NFL Draft and his long-term career opportunities.
Maybe now Texas QB Colt McCoy has a chance to win the head-to-head “bro”mance competition with Bradford – EyesOfTX wouldn’t mind some Longhorn victories in ping pong, H-O-R-S-E, golf shot accuracy, and a wiffle ball home run derby. Although, this would mean ESPN would give Texas a bit of on-air love. One can dream, right?
